Information You Provide
Whether you are a Consumer or a Service Provider, we will collect personal information from you (like your name, email address, physical address, and phone number) when you register for an account. In addition, if you are a Consumer, we will collect your credit card information, which we’ll use to process your payments through a third party providers (we won’t share your credit card information with Service Providers).
If you create an account using your login from another account (like Facebook), we will access and collect the personal information about you that your account allows to be shared (which is based your privacy settings), in order to create your account with us.
Note regarding children: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information of a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible.
Note regarding international users: Your information will be transferred to and maintained on computers located in the United States (or any other country where we operate) and processed there – by providing us with your information, you are accepting and agreeing to that transfer.
Information We Collect
Whether you are a Consumer or a Service Provider, we collect certain information that your mobile device sends when you use our Platform Services, like a device identifier, user settings, the operating system and the other software apps you have installed on your device, as well as information about your use of our Platform Services. We will collect your location and/or use various technologies to determine your location, such as sensor data from your device that provides information on nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers, if you enable this feature on the Platform Services. You can enable or disable location Platform Services when you use our Platform Services through your mobile device settings.
We also collect certain information that your web browser sends when you visit our website, like the Internet Protocol (IP) address, search terms, browser, referring/exit pages and URLs, pages viewed, and other such information about your use of our Platform Services. We use “cookies” and “web beacons” – small data files – to collect this information, which allows us to identify your browser and to improve your use of our Platform Services. You can reset your web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent, however, some features of our Platform Services may not function properly if the ability to accept cookies is disabled.

How We Use the Information We Collect
Whether you are a Consumer or Service Provider, we may use the information we collect to provide our Platform Services (or the information you request), to process and complete any transactions, to respond to inquiries, to personalize and improve our Platform Services and your experiences when you use our Platform Services, to monitor and analyze usage and trends of our Platform Services, to send you administrative messages regarding the operation and use of our Platform Services, and for any other purpose for which the information was collected.
Information We Share With Others
If you are a Consumer, we will share information about you and the Home Services you requested in order to determine who is fit for the job. Your information may be accessed and used by Service Providers who are working with us in connection with the operation of our Platform Services. If you are a Service Provider, and have decided to accept a Consumer’s request for Home Services, we’ll share with you the Consumer’s contact details.
If you are a Service Provider, please be aware that we may use the contact information of your Pre-Existing Customers to recommend non-competing Home Services (i.e., Home Services that are not directly competitive with the Home Services that you provided to them) to them; however, you may choose to opt-out of such use of data regarding Pre-Existing Customers at any time, as set forth on the Site. By “Pre-Existing Customers” we mean Consumers that you first established a business relationship with outside of the Fair Project’s platform, i.e., that you’ve entered manually into the platform, or that that have made their first booking directly through your “pro” page on the platform. For Consumers that you were introduced to or made first contact with through the Platform Services, we will be able to propose to them any kind of Home Services, including competing services. We may also recommend you to Consumers that have already used your Home Services and rated you highly.
If you are a Consumer, we may share your contact information with Service Providers as set forth above. We may also share information about you when you instruct us to do so, such as when you connect with other users or Service Providers through our Platform Services or if we notify you that the information you provide will be shared in a particular manner and you provide such information (like sharing/posting it with a social networking site).
We may share information about you in anonymous and/or aggregated form with third parties for usage analytics (to help us better understand who is using our Platform Services and how), to improve the relevancy of the ads you see on our Platform Services (to tailor them to your interests) and for industry analysis, demographic profiling, research, and other similar purposes. In addition, if you are a Consumer, we may send you emails with marketing materials, including with respect to optional Home Services.
In addition, we may transfer and/or provide information about you in connection with an acquisition, sale of company assets, or other situation where user information would be transferred as one of our business assets.
How to Access Your Information
You can access and modify the information you provided us through your account. If you completely delete all such information, then your account will become deactivated and you will not be able to access our Platform Services through your account. If you would like us to delete personal information about you from our system, please contact us with a request that we delete your personal information from our database. We will use reasonable efforts to honor your request; however, we may retain an archived copy of your information as required by law and/or for record keeping purposes.
Security Measures We Take To Protect Your Information
We employ administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, however, despite these efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. In the event that your personal information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will promptly notify you if your personal information has been compromised, as required by applicable law.
